Children above 10 years are recommended to take adult Amoxil dose.

In treatment with any antibiotic, including Amoxil, it is very important, that tablets were taken following drug schedule in equal time gaps. Only in this way the drug is accumulated in the blood in sufficient quantity to kill all bacteria.

The period of treatment with Amoxil depends on disease duration. Amoxil is recommended to be taken till full symptom disappearance and even 2-3 days after. For most common infections this period is about 5-7 days. Amoxil will provide effect only if the treatment is fully passed. Otherwise some bacteria may remain in an organism and, if immunity is increased, lead to disease relapse.
